Virtual Field Trips

These programs include an interactive lesson on one of the topics below, scavenger hunts, and follow up activities for after the lesson. Each week focuses on a different aspect of the following topics.

Time: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:00am-12:00pm and 4:00-5:00pm

*If neither of these times work for your children, our schedule can be flexible based on our availability.

Lesson Topics:

  • Animal Adaptations (Tuesdays)

Learn about how animals survive in various habitats, protect themselves, and get their energy. Find out how these adaptations have inspired the creation of some of our everyday items and tools. Also, learn about some special traits that different animals have, but don't use anymore.

  • Urban Ecology  (Thursdays)

Learn about the living and non-living things that make up our local ecosystems and how they all interact with each other. Find out about the rocks and minerals around us that we use every day and how we can tell how healthy our local streams are.

Length of program: Approximately 30 minutes

Access to program: Programs take place on Google Meet

Group Size: 16 spots per lesson

Cost: All of our programs are FREE, although donations are encouraged. The recommended amount is $3 per child. This is a suggestion - - any contribution your group can offer will make a difference.
