There are an estimated 10,000 different kinds of birds in the world! They exhibit staggering diversity in features like size, shape, and color, but all have some things in common. From nests and beaks to feathers and feet, this lesson explores the characteristics that make birds so extraordinary. Weather permitting, this program will include the opportunity to identify and count local birds in the Wagner's yard as part of Cornell University's Celebrate Urban Birds citizen science project.
Cost: Museum admission and programs are FREE, but donations are appreciated. A donation of $8 per adult and $5 per child is suggested, but any contribution will make a difference.
