Fridays in the Field
Backyard science for children of all ages!
Explore the local ecosystem while doing a scavenger hunt. Be a Citizen Scientist and help Cornell University scientists count birds. See how many different kinds of insects you can find in the Wagner's backyard. Observe bees and butterflies as they pollinate the Institute's garden. Use a dichotomous key to identify trees. Draw what you see in nature. Have a picnic! These are all things you can do at Fridays in the Field!
To attend Fridays in the Field, enter the Wagner Institute backyard through the side gate on 17th Street just south of Montgomery Avenue.
In case of rain, Fridays in the Field will be cancelled.
